At Westwood Pest Control, while our main focus is not wildlife removal, we always go the extra mile when it comes to helping our customers — and sometimes that means handling a few unexpected situations.
This week, a homeowner contacted us after hearing strange noises coming from the basement ceiling. What we discovered was something you don’t see every day: five baby raccoons, also known as kits, nested inside the ceiling.
After carefully cutting into the ceiling, we safely and humanely removed the kits. The entry point was then securely sealed to prevent further access. As part of our commitment to ethical wildlife handling, we placed the baby raccoons just outside the original entrance. Sure enough, not long after, Momma raccoon returned and relocated her babies to a new, safer home.
At Westwood Pest Control, we believe in the safe and humane treatment of all of God’s creatures. While our day-to-day work is focused on pest control, we’re always ready to help when wildlife finds its way into your home.
If you suspect unwanted guests — furry or otherwise — in your home, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help with expert advice and effective solutions.
